Monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation is a fundamental part of the
FutureFit project. There are two parts to this
process:
- Phase 1 complete summer 2011: Installing the works
- Phase 2 complete summer 2012: Energy performance and impact of
FutureFit Living
Phase 1 will be carried out
in partnership with Camco and the Energy Saving Trust who will work
with Affinity Sutton staff and our partners to look at issues such
as the practical limitations of retrofit, actual costs, issues
with the supply chain and the resident's experience. The results of
this phase will form the central part of the FutureFit report part
11, published in September 2011.
Phase 2 is
being carried out in partnership with Parity Projects and
involves monitoring the actual energy savings made over a
year in the 102 homes that have been retrofitted and the
FutureFit Living homes receiving just energy lifsetyle
advice. Monitoring equipment, including temperature gages, gas
meters, electricity meters and data loggers have been
installed to all the properties taking part. This equipment
will transmit data remotely to a web portal where results can be
analysed and collated for reporting purposes. These results will
form the central part of the final report due to be completed in
summer/autumn 2012.
