Affinity Sutton Design Competition

A capital idea

The Affinity Sutton Design Competition is an annual contest to search for tomorrow's leading architects.

At Affinity Sutton we believe that good design is central to building thriving communities - and that it is at the heart of helping people put down roots.

A Capital Idea

This year's competition is in partnership with RIBA, The Mayor's Office and the Homes and Communities Agency in London.

We're challenging the architects of the future to come up with A Capital Idea. Students must create an exemplar scheme on one of our London land bank sites that will contribute to meeting London's housing need and combine good architecture with affordability based on the Mayor's London Housing Design Guide.

Make Bethnal Green - our first design competition

In our first Affinity Sutton Design Competition, we worked with RIBA to challenge Part 2 students to ‘Make Bethnal Green’ by asking them — 'What would you build on the same site today and how would that design make a positive contribution to the environment?'
