A change to the waiting list

From November 2010, we started using a new way to assess applicants for homes where we have an open waiting list.

Who does this apply to?

This will apply to all applicants for William Sutton Homes. This includes those who are currently on our waiting list, and all new applications we receive to go on our waiting list where the waiting lists are open.

Two bands

Applications will still work on a point-based system. The level of points awarded will automatically put the application into a band.

There will be two bands - Band 1 and Band 2.

What if I'm already on the waiting list?

Existing applications will be transferred automatically and all applicants will be written to at the end of November to inform them of their points and which band they are in.

Which band will I be in?

View bands and their criteria

Applicants with high need as defined under band 1 will only need one of the criteria to qualify for band 1.

Anyone who falls into band 2 can have multiple needs which will be awarded points. Applicants who are in band 2 will stay in band 2 and will not progress into band 1.
