Mountfield Clean Up Day

Affinity Sutton teamed up with Bromley Council and the Safer Neighbourhoods Partnership for a clean up day on the Mountfield Estate, St Mary Cray on 17 January. Clean up teams toured the estate to identify illegal fly-tipping, abandoned cars, bulk rubbish in gardens and alleyways as well as graffiti. The aim of the day was to make the estate a cleaner and better place to live for all residents. A total of 12 lorry loads of waste were removed with 20sq m of stairs, walls, smoke damage and graffiti jetwashed and cleaned. Among the many items disposed of was an entire mature tree trunk felled in an alleyway.
