Admirals Successful Summer Sports Scheme

During the summer a number of children took part in a sports programme run by the Sports & Recreation Team at Rugby Borough Council which was funded by Affinity Sutton and an external agency MARS.

Both these funding bids were submitted by Rugby Tenants Association whom having had a similar scheme during half term in May wanted the same for the summer holidays. The kids had a week of sports including Football, Netball, Cricket and ended with the children going on a trip to Drayton Manor Park.

The gave the children a chance to learn different skills, work together as a team, and by the expressions on most of their faces they thoroughly enjoyed their time. The residents group have submitted a further bid to Affinity Sutton's Capital Community Foundation to fund activities during the winter months which if successful will take place in the temporary unit outside the local estate office.
