Music Making A Real Difference
Who said that music making was only for young
people?
Residents in Plymouth have been enjoying
making music this year with a little help from Plymouth Music
Zone.
Silver Sounds, funded by the Community Grants
Scheme and Plymouth Music Zone, is a project that has seen
interactive music making sessions held in the two sheltered schemes
in Plymouth.
The project has been really well received by
the residents and it uses music, singing and social activities to
stimulate memory and increase interaction between participants. One
of the residents even commented that it is the highlight of her
week.
The residents are aiming high, and will be
enjoying a trip to the Music Zone together to see some other
performers that the Music Zone works with and support. They have
even been treated to a visit by musicians from the Orchestra of the
Age of Enlightenment.
And you never know, maybe the Military Wives
will have some competition for the Christmas Number one spot this
year!!!
