Ready to move?
If you are currently renting a home from Affinity Sutton and
would like to apply to move to a different home, there are a number
of ways you can do this.
Transfer
If you would like to move to another Affinity
Sutton home you may be able to apply for a housing transfer.
In some areas of the country we don’t hold our
own transfer register and in those areas our residents need to
apply to the local council.
In those areas where we do hold our own
transfer register, your application will be assessed in line with
our lettings policy. If you are eligible to apply and you have a
housing need, you will then be placed into one of two bands
depending on your housing need and how urgently you need to
move.

Mutual exchange
If you want to move to a different sized property or to a
different area outside your borough, you can effectively swap your
home with someone else using the Mutual Exchange Scheme.
It is open to all Council and housing association tenants who
are part of the Mutual Exchange Scheme. All landlords must agree
before an exchange can go ahead.
