Affinity Sutton backs campaign for affordable homes

There’s a desperate shortage of affordable homes for
Londoners.
Shelter, the homeless and housing charity, has
launched its Homes for London campaign to make housing a top
political priority for the next Mayor.
The G15 group of London's largest housing
associations, of which Affinity Sutton is a member, houses
around one in ten Londoners and manage around 410,000 homes.
Indeed, the G15 collectively will deliver 1 in 4 of all new
homes, raising £2 billion to support just £350m of grant to
provide 13000 new affordable homes by 2015. This represents
fantastic value for government and for Londoners. But it is not
enough.
We want to press government to deliver on its
commitment to release public land for development.
Please sign up and support the Homes for
London campaign and help put affordable homes for London at the top
of the political agenda in the run up to the Mayoral Election on
Thursday 3 May 2012.
