Sustainable Housing Awards - Community
Involvement/Community Engagement
Affinity Sutton scooped the Community Involvement/Community
Engagement award for its Improving the Appearance our Estates
project at Inside Housing’s Sustainable Housing Awards.
The project has encouraged residents to transform neglected and
unloved areas of land in their communities into vibrant blooming
spaces - helping people feel proud of where they live.
RSPCA - Innovators Award and Footprit Gold
Award
We've been awarded two awards from the RSPCA -
Innovators award and a Footprint Gold award for the animal welfare
initiatives we've introduced to our communities.

Business in the Community Award for Excellence
Out of hundreds of entries, Affinity Sutton honoured in the UK’s
leading awards for responsible business practice, run by Business
in the Community
- Also named an Example of Excellence for Building Stronger
Communities - which recognises inspirational programmes that are
making a positive impact on the community, the environment or wider
society.
- Affinity Sutton awarded prestigious Big Tick award for its
Community Investment programme.

2010
Resident award for outstanding commitment
Congratulations also to Affinity Sutton resident Melv Chislett who was shortlisted for his
Outstanding Commitment in this year's Homes & Communities
Awards 2010. Melv has worked tirelessly to deliver services
to residents in Barne Barton Plymouth and is only one of three
residents in the country to have been recognised.
2008
Bromley Active Living Centre
- The Bromley Active Living Centre, our free community gym on the
Queen Adelaide Estate, Penge was also voted as a finalist in the
‘Social Regeneration Project of the Year' in 2008's Regeneration
and Renewal Awards.
