Greener homes, greener living
There are two parts to the FutureFit project covering the two
key steps in improving energy efficiency in the home -
retrofit works and lifestyle advice:
Part one: FutureFit
works
In phase one we are delivering packages
of low carbon refurbishment works to 102 homes around the
country. These homes cover a spectrum of common housing types so
that any results can be massed up to the wider sector.
Part two: FutureFit
Living
FutureFit Living aims to help customers live a
more energy efficient life in their home and in doing so save money
on their fuel bills. This part is working with half the
properties that had the works done in part two, as well as an
additional group of homes that are receiving just lifestyle
advice.
There are a total or more
than 200 properties involved in the FutureFit project which
are separated into four groups so that results can be
compared:
Group 1: FutureFit residents
with:
- FutureFit works package
- FutureFit monitoring equipment
Group 2: FutureFit residents
with:
- FutureFit works package
- FutureFit monitoring equipment
- FutureFit Living advice
Group 3: residents with:
- FutureFit monitoring equipment
- FutureFit Living advice
Group 4: residents with:
- No advice or works
- Energy bills only monitored
