Sheffield Wednesday work with young people

Sheffield Wednesday start new volunteering project for young people in Sheffield.

Sheffield Wednesday offer 16 year olds new opportunities

Young people aged 16 in Sheffield have the chance to participate in a brand new project. Sheffield Wednesday Football Club will be working with at least ten Affinity Sutton residents to provide volunteering opportunities this summer. The young people who give up their time will also have the opportunity to attend two free residential weeks away from home in Sheffield University Halls and Plymouth. where they can participate in activities like paint balling and water sports.

As part of the project volunteers will be working with Affinity Sutton in the summer on the Wisewood Estate. This will include a litter pick across the estate, gardening for elderly residents and games for residents in sheltered accommodation. There are also chances to help behind the scenes at Sheffield Wednesday FC and to get tickets to the England vs Wales EURO 2012 qualifier at Wembley!

Young people interested should contact Sheffield Wednesday. Places are filling fast so act now!
