National Residents’ Council
After the success of the National Residents’ Council
(NRC) in 2011 we’re busy planning this year’s. The project team,
which includes three residents, John Hughes, Christine Wood and
Phil Revis, is developing a varied programme for the event, which
will run on 23 and 24 November at the Forest of
Arden.
The theme will be communication and we’ll be
retaining the elements you told us you enjoyed, like the Board Q
and A session and the Shine Awards, while introducing more
workshops and stands showcasing some of our key services.
We again hope to attract around 100 residents,
including five from each of our 14 Resident Area Panels (RAPs) and
members of our Service Task Teams (STTs). Some of the outcomes from
last year included improvements to the website and the Contact
Centre as well as upping our training offer to residents. So you do
make a difference!
If you’re interested in attending and are not
currently a member of your RAP or STT you need to make sure you
attend your next RAP to have a chance of being chosen.
We will report back on outcomes through the website, on Twitter
and Facebook, and in our spring edition of Shine – hope to see you
there.
