able to access affordable loans through our partnership with
Places for People Financial Services.
Whilst for many residents a bank loan
or other mainstream option is the best way forward, others can’t
access these services for a variety of reasons, such as having a
low credit rating, not having a bank account, distrust of
mainstream services, or even wanting to borrow too low an amount
for a bank to be interested in. This leaves limited and usually
expensive options – doorstep credit, payday loans, or the dreaded
loan shark.
