Planting the seeds of success
Planting the seeds of success
We recently helped turn a corner plot at
Sandringham Court into a new garden area. Then it was the
residents’ turn to decide what to put in it. With the help of a
small extra grant from us, everyone set to work.
The big day was 1 April and the residents soon
showed they were no April fools. Everyone from the local vicar to
the police community support officer was invited to the planting
out ceremony.
The vicar helped build a bird table, big
troughs of plants, herbs and salad veg were created and apple and
pear trees planted too. Copious amounts of tea, coffee and
sandwiches kept everyone going and a very enjoyable day ended
with a fast food feast for all.
