Putting a spring in your step this Autumn
An afternoon in the warm winter sunshine saw
28 local residents turn out to help plant spring bulbs around the
park in Barne Barton.
Blessed with beautiful dry weather, and a
helping hand from BTCV, residents enjoyed planting some colour
ready for the spring.
The children had a great time, and have
remembered where their bulbs are so they can watch them
grow!
As well as sprucing up the place as part of
the Cultiv8 project, residents also gave their views and comments
about the vandalised Park on Savage Road. The children brought
along their fantastic entries for the drawing competition which was
judged by Lewin Dumper, Head of Housing South West.
Two winners from each age group were chosen
and Affinity Sutton residents Caitlin (12) and Pheonix (5) will
both be receiving £20 Argos vouchers.
A very big thank you to all who attended and
made the day a real success.
