Mike Newdick from Hulls Marfleet Lane Estate is the Chair of the Yorkshire RAP. Mike works relentlessly in Hull to improve his neighbourhood. Mike Chair’s his local Residents Association and Estate Management Committee meetings. With help from  group members Mike also runs the local community building which includes a community café and community activities.

Mike says, “I see my role as Chair as getting the best out of each meeting. To be a leader and ensure that every body feels they are getting an equal opportunity to have there say and be involved. The Raps are moving forward and with Affinity Sutton taking the next step to introduce opportunities for further scrutiny. This has given me more enthusiasm to make sure the Yorkshire rap works and links with the other methods of involvement to improve services for residents”.
