Mid Sussex Homemove

Homemove provides more housing choice

Affinity Sutton is a member of the Sussex Homemove scheme together with Mid Sussex District Council so that we can offer residents living in the area a greater choice in where they live.

Sussex Homemove is a partnership of 11 local authorities across both East and West Sussex who operate the same system for Choice-Based Lettings.

Step 1: Register for Choice Based Lettings

Go to Mid Sussex District Council’s website and complete an application to register for Homemove. For advice contact the Homemove Team on 0300 100 0303 or email midsussexhomemove@affinitysutton.com

Step 2: Check the Homemove website

Vacant homes will be advertised on the Sussex Homemove website every two weeks and those who are registered on the Mid Sussex Homemove will be able to bid for up to three properties at any one time in Mid Sussex.

Step 3: Bid for homes

Bids, or expressions of interest, can be made online, by telephone, by text message or by using paper coupons sent by post. 

For each property advertised, bids will be sorted first by Band, then by local connection with Mid Sussex and lastly by the time applicants have been waiting. The successful bidder will be offered the property they have chosen.
