Changes to rent payments

Payment of rent and other charges
We recently sent you a letter telling you about the
recent amalgamation of the three housing associations, Broomleigh,
Downland and William Sutton into one company called Affinity Sutton
Homes Limited.
From 1 October 2011, all rent and other
charges including service charges (if applicable) in respect of
your home are payable to Affinity Sutton Homes Limited
including any arrears you owed to any of the above
associations.
Below we have outlined how this
may affect the way you pay your rent.
Direct Debit or Standing
Order – you do not need to make any changes but your
statement will show that you have paid Affinity Sutton Homes
Limited.
Rent Payment Card (Allpay) –
You should continue using the card you already have but you will
receive a new card in the next few weeks – please use this new card
straight away and destroy the old card. You can continue to pay at
the usual places.
Cheque – please make cheques
payable to Affinity Sutton Homes Ltd, and send to Maple House,
157-159 Masons Hill, Bromley, Kent, BR2 9HY.
Rent arrears
All rights in respect of arrears of rent,
licence fees and/or other weekly payments or charges, including for
example service charges, moneys due and any legal actions together
with all rights of possession in relation to your property held by
any of the above associations are now held by Affinity Sutton Homes
Limited. This notice shall operate as notice for the purpose of
section 136 of the Law of Property Act 1925 to the extent that such
notice is required.
