Do I have the Right to buy and can I apply?

Proposals to extend the Right to Buy to all Housing Association tenants are not yet in place and we do not yet know precisely who will be eligible, or when any changes will be made.

The Department for Communities and Local Government has set up a helpful website (Right To Buy) which provides useful information on the scheme, including eligibility and affordability. There is also a calculator so you can get an idea of how much discount you may receive, and help you compare the costs of being a homeowner and a tenant.
