Can I have a transfer?

Wherever possible, we’ll help you transfer to a more suitable home. We will give priority to those with the greatest need for housing because social rented housing is in high demand and short supply.

How you apply to transfer to another home depends on the agreements we have reached with your local authority. In some areas we keep a waiting list of residents who want to transfer and can make you a direct offer. This is called Home Choice.  In other areas we do not offer direct transfers but you may still be able to apply for an Affinity Sutton home through your local authority.

We recommend that you also apply through your local authority to increase your chances of finding a more suitable home.
