Adaptations for your home

If you are disabled or have mobility problems, you may be able to get some adaptations made to your home to help you cope. Sometimes minor adaptations such as handrails on the stairs or over the bath can help you stay independent and can be made free of charge. If you need a more major adaptation such as a stair lift, hoist or level access shower, you may be eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant from your local council.
