Fortune favours the brave
A new approach to affordable housing.
Keith Exford, Chief Executive of Affinity Sutton,
addressed the CIH Scotland Annual Conference and
Exhibition 2010 on the 16-18 March.
Keith Exford, Chief Executive, of Affinity Sutton urged
delegates to examine new directions for affordable housing at this
year's Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland Annual
Conference.
Speaking at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in
Glasgow, Mr Exford urged delegates to examine the role of housing
associations, local authorities and private providers in developing
a new approach to affordable housing:
- To provide permanent housing for those never in a position to
access market homes.
- To offer a springboard for working age people who need support
to help them access or reaccess market housing.
Mr Exford said: "Nobody said it would be easy but
fortune might favour the brave."
