The housing crisis is a central driver behind our mission to provide affordable homes.

The shortage of homes across the country is increasing and more apparent than ever. With house prices rising, an entire generation is struggling to afford a home of their own.

The solution is simple.

We need to build more homes. But things aren’t quite as simple as that. Opposition to new housing in local communities and the unfolding localism agenda, which rests the majority of the decision-making squarely with local councils, brings us to a bottleneck.
